Safety Assessment in Cosmetic Products
Immediate effects and long-lasting effects of unsafe cosmetic products can cause irreversible results. Considering that they have been used extensively throughout human life, it is an important requirement to conduct safety assessments by the safety assessor for each cosmetic product before introducing them to the market.
GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
It is a standard covering all manufacturing stages from the acceptance of raw materials to the processing, design, manufacture, packaging, storage and distribution of the product to ensure that cosmetic products are produced in a safe and quality manner that does not harm human health.
According to Article 3 of the Cosmetic Regulation; a cosmetic product made available on the market shall be safe for human health when used under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use, taking account, in particular, presentation, labelling, instructions for use and disposal and any other indication or information provided by the responsible person defined in Article 4.
