Safety Assessment in Cosmetic Products

MSDS Preparation ( Material Safety Data Sheet )

MSDS is prepared in order to provide effective control and supervision against undesirable effects that may be caused by hazardous substances and mixtures, which are introduced to the market, on human health and the environment.

Product Information File ( PIF )

The product information file (PIF) is a collection of technical documentation for each cosmetic product to be introduced to the market.

GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)

It is a standard covering all manufacturing stages from the acceptance of raw materials to the processing, design, manufacture, packaging, storage and distribution of the product to ensure that cosmetic products are produced in a safe and quality manner that does not harm human health.

Formulation Control

According to Article 3 of the Cosmetic Regulation; a cosmetic product made available on the market shall be safe for human health when used under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use, taking account, in particular, presentation, labelling, instructions for use and disposal and any other indication or information provided by the responsible person defined in Article 4.
